Grant D. Huang, MPH, PhD, Director, CSP
Dr. Huang is Director of the Cooperative Studies Program (CSP)—a service of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Research and Development (ORD)—specializing in the design and conduct of multisite clinical trials and large-scale epidemiological studies. Among his responsibilities, Dr. Huang manages a network of 10 research centers with expertise in biostatistics, epidemiology, pharmaceutical and device management, regulatory affairs, health economics, and a genetics and research portfolio that includes more than 35 active clinical research protocols.
Dr. Huang has been involved with the design and oversight of national and international studies, several of which have been published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals that include the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of the American Medical Association. He also has led major public health initiatives with the US Army, US Marine Corps, and the Department of Defense, and serves on various advisory board in clinical and health services research.
